8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Directions: Sparks, NV

PLEASE NOTE: AS OF 1/9/2023 TEAM SLOTS ARE NOW FULL. Please register to participate on one of the competing teams, or to assist as a judge, role player, facilitator, or observer.

Come join us for the 9th Annual Pacific Northwest Crisis Negotiation Competition hosted by The Western States Hostage Negotiators’ Association and facilitated by Crisis Systems Management.

The competition will be held on Sunday, April 30th, 2023 in Sparks, Nevada. All necessary equipment and materials will be supplied by WSHNA and are included with paid registration in the WSHNA Seminar. There is no cost to participate in the competition, but all participants must be registered for the WSHNA Seminar. The exceptions to this requirement are those participating as volunteers to judge, role play or facilitate. You may register for the competition first and the seminar later, but participation in the competition will be conditional on verification of registration for both.

There will be a mandatory preparatory gathering for role players and facilitators on Saturday, April 29th at 4 PM and a gathering for Judges at 5:30 PM. An icebreaker gathering for competing team members is planned for later Saturday evening. Please keep this in mind when booking travel, lodging, and agency training paperwork.

Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be announced during the WSHNA Seminar.

There are ten team slots available on a first sign-up basis. Team size will be limited to SIX participants this year. Larger teams may enter two groups, but admission of the second group will be dependent on availability of competition slots. A waitlist will be created when the ten team slots fill up.

Team leaders should register soon to reserve their team’s slot. All individuals participating in any role must register through the CSM link so that proper planning and assignments can be made.
