Event Description:
Day 1
Start off the day with a presentation on the “25 Things you Forgot About Crisis Negotiation During COVID.” This presentation will help you reassess your place on the team, refresh easily forgotten concepts and replenish your enthusiasm for crisis negotiation.
You will also participate in team-building activities and round-robin negotiation vignettes which are suitable for all skill levels. These activities will help build communication, brainstorming and decision-making skills.
Day 2
Teams will participate in a full-length competition-style scenario based on an actual stand-off. Teams will have an opportunity to practice all aspects of crisis negotiation including leadership, crisis negotiation, coaching, managing information and intelligence, documentation, brainstorming, decision-making and strategizing for a positive outcome.
After the scenario and debriefings are complete, teams will see a case study of the original incident presented by one of the original negotiators.
Day 2 will test your team in a scenario-driven environment like no other. Attendees who do not come as a member of a team will be placed on a team running short or placed on an ad hoc team. There will be something constructive to do for everyone.
