Teams participating in the competition must provide at least one judge to a judging pool. Judges must have attended at least a 40-hour basic course and have at least 2 years of negotiation experience. Trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams. All participants will receive a certificate of participation. Although we are capping the competition entry to 10 teams, individuals are encouraged to sign up, and come to the seminar and the competition as an observer.

Teams will be granted one free individual seminar registration if they provide a role player for the competition day. Also, those not competing may attend as a role player or assist in facilitating the competition

Other negotiators and agency leadership are encouraged to attend the seminar and the challenge for training and observation purposes. Individuals may register to be placed on an ad-hoc, multi-agency team. Judging criteria will be provided to each of the teams prior to the event. Early registration is encouraged.
